1. Hardness: generally, the rubber scraper is made of polyurethane, and the hardness of the rubber scraper is measured by a hardness tester. The hardness, size and shape of the squeegee determine the flexuosity, flexibility and pressure of the squeegee. Hardness ranges from 55 to 90 degrees (Shore A). The hardness value shall be measured by shore a hardness tester. 55a-65a is low hard rubber scraper, 66a-75a is medium hard, and over 75A is high hard. High hardness squeegee is very beneficial to the first three functions of squeegee. Press the ink into the screen and transfer the ink from the precision screen to the substrate, and adhere to the line touch between the screen and the plexiglass plate. The only disadvantage of high hardness rubber scraping is that it can't meet the printing of plexiglass products with different shapes. Acrylic lenses also have high quality requirements for rubber scraping when printing rough and uneven surfaces.

2. Useful width: refers to the width of the squeegee when the squeegee is installed into the aluminum squeegee handle and protrudes from the aluminum squeegee handle. This width is very important, which determines the curvature of the rubber scraper under pressure. Tortuosity is the cubic value of the useful width. For example, double the useful width to get a twists and turns greater than 23.

The zigzag of the squeegee will cause two changes: the change of the viewpoint between the squeegee and the screen; and the decrease of the printing pressure transferred to the plexiglass products. For example, the rubber scraper is compared to a group of tension springs. When the tension spring is stressed at a certain point of view, the tension spring begins to twists and turns, and the transmitted force becomes smaller and smaller. The squeegee printing viewpoint reduces, the printing pressure lacks, and the printing effect is not ideal. Printing point is small, printing pressure is reduced, ink volume is large, and ink layer is thickened. (in this case, the printing operator will increase the printing pressure and add the squeegee twists and turns. The resulting ink layer is still not ideal. The solution is to add hardness and viewpoint. )This is the effect of the useful width of the squeegee on the four functions of the squeegee.

The useful width of general rubber scraper is between 20mm and 30mm. The selection of better useful width is based on the flatness of plexiglass products, the resolution of screen image and other printing parameters such as scratch point, speed and ink type. When printing a high resolution image on a flat / smooth substrate, it is useful to use a small width (less than 20 mm), high hardness and appropriate ink for rapid printing. On the uneven and rough plexiglass, the useful width should be added (sometimes 30mm larger), and the hardness should be reduced, while the low hardness rubber scraping habit is poor, so it can not be excessively zigzagged, and it can also use the three-layer scraping or double-layer scraping with hard center and soft ends. Generally, useful width is added, printing speed is reduced and printing viewpoint is added.

3. Blade: the blade is an important part of the four functions of the rubber scraper. The sharpness of the squeegee is an element of the initial amount of ink to be controlled. Acrylic lens sharp blade provides the minimum amount of inking and the most precise image. Blunt and round cutting edge, ink amount added, at the same time will affect the color and line precision.

In the process of printing large area and simple pictures with clear oil, the changes of color and line precision are not obvious. When printing precise lines and four-color dots, you can quickly find the deformation of the knife edge by using semi transparent (UV) and transparent ink. Compare the first and last printing sheets to confirm when the rubber scraper should be polished.
